Refurbishment of House at Wandsworth Common, London SW12

Following the sudden death of the previous architect we were commissioned to implement the agreed design through the construction phase. The existing Victorian house was significantly remodelled, including excavation of an entire basement floor beneath the existing building and formation of a new stand-alone garden room.

An unusual feature was a new stair to access the new basement, formed as a sculptural timber lined drum.

The house increased by about 60 SqM to 388 SqM (4,100 sqFt) when completed.
